Recommended combinations of international experiences that meet the IP requirements are available below for each major. Each academic unit has pre-approved the combinations for their major(s). Students are strongly encouraged to select their IP international experiences from their major’s list.

IP students are strongly encouraged to seek advising from their major department AND the IP Manager before committing to any international programs. International Experiences are approved as part of the overall plan (two international experiences + foreign language). It is not possible to approve a single program without knowing the second intended program.
If you feel that you have a compelling reason to pursue a set of international experiences that are NOT on your major’s list, you will need to seek approval from your major’s IP faculty representative and the IP Director via this Approval Form. Exceptions will not be considered without a well thought out statement (1-2 pages).
Before writing a statement to defend your choice of alternate programs, you are strongly encouraged to make an appointment with the IP Manager.
